Car Damage

This class simulates crashes damages to both vehicle meshes and vehicle mesh collider. Parameters:


  • Mesh Collider mesh collider of the vehicle. If omitted, only vehicle meshes will be deformed


  • Mesh Filters array of the meshes deformed by the script. If left empty the script will use all the meshes of the vehicle.


  • Deform Noise noise added to the deformation in order to simulate breaks. Typical values 0.005 - 0.01.


  • Deform Noise radius of the deformation from the collision point (in meters). Typical value 0.5.


  • Deform Noise speed (in secs) at which object's mesh go back to it's original state after pressing repair key.


  • Max Deform maximum distance (in meters) from it's original position that a vertex can move. If left to 0 the vertex will move with no limit. Typical value 0.5.


  • Multiplier multiplier of the deformation force. Typical value 0.1.


  • Y Force Damp damps the strength of collisions in vertical direction. Values less than 1 will save the vehicle from severe damages after jumps. Values from 0 to 1.


  • Sign changes the direction of damage propagation. Set it to -1 if the damages are propagated in the wrong direction.
